Our Directors

Mr. Esau holds a Bachelor of Accountancy from the University of Malawi and is also an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants as well as a Chartered Global Management Accountant. He is a seasoned banking and finance executive with more than 25 years’ experience in the industry. He previously served as Managing Director and Chief Executive officer of CDH Investment Bank for 8 years and its predecessor Continental Discount House for 5 years. Prior to this, he worked with the Reserve Bank of Malawi and Nedbank Malawi. He brings a wealth of experience to the board having previously served on the boards of the National Local Government Finance Committee, Malawi Switch Centre Limited and Malawi Investment and Trade Centre. He also previously served as president of the Bankers Association of Malawi (BAM) and Chairman of the Institute of Bankers in Malawi (IOBM).

Mr. Kazako holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Saginaw Valley State University and a Master of Public Health from the University of Memphis. He is a Medical Professional with over 30 years’ experience and currently works at The John Hopkins Hospital in the Post Heart and Lung Transplant Surgery Unit. He has a strong interest in infection control programs in Africa and dedicates a lot of time towards contributing to this field.

Mrs. Bwanausi holds a Certificate in Financial Services and Diploma in Financial Services from the Institute of Bankers in the Republic of South Africa. She is a former Banker having spent over 25 years with Zambia National Commercial Bank, Finance Corporation of Malawi (FINCOM) and Nedbank Malawi. She brings a wealth of experience to the board having served on the board of Alliance Capital Limited from 2014 to date and Liberty General Insurance from 2016 to date. She has a keen interest in advocacy work and currently serves as the Chairperson of the National Gender Coordinating Network (NGOGCN), NGO Coalition for Childs Rights (NGOCCR) and Malawi Network Against Trafficking (MNAT).

Mr. Kadzakumanja holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration from Chancellor College, a Master of Arts in Banking and Finance from the University of Sheffield as well as a Diploma in Financial Management from ACCA and a Diploma in Human Resource Management from Damelin Management School. He is a career banker with over 30 years experience with Standard Bank, NBS Bank and New Finance Bank. He currently serves as the Managing Consultant of Banking and Operations Management Consultancy (BAOMAC), a role he has held since November of 2017. He has also served on the board of the Malawi National Payments Council as well as Small Enterprise Development Organisation of Malawi.

Mrs. Mwala holds a Bachelor of Accountancy and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Malawi. She is a Public Private Partnership (PPP) expert with over 20 years’ experience in the field. She is currently the Director of Project Finance & Risk Analysis at the Public Private Partnership Commission (PPPC), a role she has served in since 2009. She is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and is registered with both the Malawi Accountants Board and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Malawi (ICAM). She brings valuable experience to the board having served on the boards of NBS Bank, Inde Fund and Alliance Capital amongst a few.

Mr. Majavina holds a Bachelor of Accountancy from the University of Malawi, Masters of Business Administration from Management College of Southern Africa (MANCOSA) and a Masters Degree in International Banking and Finance from the University of Salford. He is a Finance Professional with over 14 years of experience and currently serves as the Group Chief Executive Officer of Alliance Holding Limited.

Mr. Daniel holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Kerala University and is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, a member of the Society of Accountants of Malawi and an associate member of the British Institute of Management. He is a seasoned investment and financial analyst with over 30 years of experience across Africa. He is currently Managing Director of Prudential Investments Limited, a role which he has held since 2005. Prior to this, he served as Group Finance Director of NICO Holdings Limited, General Manager of NICO Corporate Finance Limited (NICORP) and Project Analyst & Chief Accountant of Rural Development Corporation Limited amongst a few roles. He brings a wealth of experience and currently serves on the boards of Mwawathu Private Hospital Limited, BROLL Limited and Charter Insurance Limited.
